The TOC for PRS arrived in my inbox a few days ago. In this months issue the team that performed the first US near-total human face transplant give an account of the procedure. Apparently the patient is doing well after 8 months follow-up.
The UK the team, led by Peter Butler, has the go ahead but are yet to perform the procedure. I’m sure it is only a matter of time. Their work is supported by The Face Trust. Image copyright PRS 2010
